A MEDITATION RETREAT: with Therese Fitzgerald & Wendy Johnson

Trinity Center, near Morehead City, NC
Theme: Wisdom and Compassion in the World
This retreat will include periods of sitting meditation, indoor walking meditation, writing sessions, outdoor walking meditation, silent meals, yoga, and focused discussion groups, as well as ample time for rest, reflection, and being in nature. Daily Dharma talks will reflect on the Buddhist teachings. Recommended for both beginning and experienced meditators, this retreat will be conducted in partial silence.
Leaders: Therese Fitzgerald is director and teacher of Dharma Friends, based on Maui, Hawai‘i. She has decades of Dharma practice at the San Francisco and Tassajara Zen Centers and then with Vietnamese Zen monk and peace activist, Thich Nhat Hanh, who ordained her as a Dharma teacher. Wendy Johnson is a Buddhist meditation teacher and organic gardening mentor who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. An ordained lay dharma teacher in the traditions of Thich Nhat Hanh and the San Francisco Zen Center, she was one of the founders of the farm program at Green Gulch Zen Center. She is the author of Gardening at the Dragon's Gate: At Work in the Wild and Cultivated World.
