SUMMARY:Risking Words: A 4-Week Workshop with Peggy Millin (via Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, you will learn and use Centered Writing Practice\, a body-centered freewriting technique employing neutral prompts. This distinctly feminine approach to the creative process opens the way for you to release your conception of what writing “should” be in order to allow the body’s wisdom to guide your pen. In the safety of our writing circle\, you will be invited to share your writing and receive gentle responses from Peggy and/or group members. At the end of 4 weeks\, you will have a notebook of your in-class writing and a technique for the continued support of your writing journey. \n\nLeader: For more than 25 years\, Peggy Tabor Millin has offered programs in the written word to facilitate women in telling their truth so they can stand in their power and create positive change in their world. Peggy is author of Mary’s Way and Women\, Writing\, and SoulMaking. Learn more about Peggy here. \nCost: $85. Includes all four sessions.\n\nRegistration below includes all four sessions. Registrants will be sent a Zoom link in the automated ticket confirmation.

SUMMARY:The Gifts and Challenges of the Enneagram Types in Relationships - with Sandra Smith (via Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:All of us experience healthy relationships in our lives. How are we engaging and what\, exactly\, are we doing to support relationships working well? In other relationships\, we find ourselves repeating patterns that limit our full relational potential. The emotional maturity necessary for our primary relationships is cultivated by our willingness to be aware\, honest\, and intimate with ourselves. Healthy relationships emerge when we can be present with what is in ourselves and in the other. \nDuring our time together we’ll explore each type’s relational gifts that support healthy relating and patterns that derail relationships.  Self-reflection and type groups will support our learning process. \nLeader: Sandra Smith\, MDiv\, is a certified Enneagram teacher in the Narrative Tradition who consults and teaches throughout North America. Learn more about her work here. \nCost: $35 \nRegister below. \nRegistrants will receive a Zoom link in the automated ticket confirmation.

SUMMARY:Ministry of Black Women's Self Care\, June - with Kim Gaubault (via Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:Kim Gaubault recognizes that self-care is often the component that remains a form of intervention (after the break or the medical emergency) rather than a preventative measure. When we allow our bodies\, minds and/or spirits to break down in the course of doing this work\, we are not only putting ourselves at risk but we are putting at risk the integrity of the work for which we are laboring. This work is a work of self-love\, communal love\, Womanist Ethicism\, it is multi-generational\, multicultural and is not finite\, but is instead as infinite as the beauty in the divinity that is Blackness. Come and share in this life’s work! This program is specifically designed to offer practical tools for everyday self-care to Black women-identified individuals doing all forms of ministry\, in church and community. \nJune – How Do You Spell Freedom?: Liberating Our Minds to Liberate Our Lives\nJuly – Finding Our Way or Forging Our Way: We’re Gonna Make It!\nAugust – I Am…So We Are… \nLeader: Kimberly Gaubault (McCrae) is an intentional lover of humanity and actively lives the self-care life about which she teaches and advocates. Her personal philosophy of interpersonal interaction is\, “If I’ve not positively influenced someone everywhere I’ve gone\, I’ve not walked in my purpose.” \nCost: $10\, $25\, or $40 \nper session. Choose the price that fits your budget. Sign up for one or each remaining session in the series. \nRegister for June below.\nJuly: HERE.\nAugust: HERE. \nRegistrants will receive a Zoom link in the automated ticket confirmation.

SUMMARY:Mindful Writing for Transformation with Jen Johnson
DESCRIPTION:This workshop explores mindful writing as a practice of deep listening and writing for transformation. The afternoon will consist of writing activities to inspire you and support you in accessing inner wisdom and shifting your perspective. Writing about our experience can help us to make order from what feels like inner chaos and shape our stories into a cohesive and healing narrative. When we make time for deep listening to the stories inside that want to be told\, we open the door to restoring a sense of inner wholeness. Bring your pen and a journal. This workshop is for writers and non-writers. \nLeader: Jen Johnson is a mindfulness teacher\, therapist\, photographer\, and writer offering an integrative approach to mind body healing and creative awakening. Her writing has been published in book chapters\, magazines\, literary journals\, and professional training manuals. Jen offers online coaching\, therapy\, and workshops.
