How do you tend to your daily mental/emotional/spiritual/physical well-being in the grips of a pandemic and a nation divided by racial disparity? Do you give yourself permission to feel the weight of the responsibility of Black womanhood? Who takes care of you and what does that look like? When Black women are not holistically cared for, we are not only at risk but we are putting at risk the integrity of all of the work for which we are laboring. This program is specifically designed to offer practical tools for everyday self-care to Black woman-identified individuals living in a world that often makes it challenging to balance high demands and never-ending expectations with a very human need for care. Come explore self-care as part of your new normal!
Cost: $10-40, sliding scale.
Leader: Kimberly Gaubault (McCrae) is an intentional lover of humanity and actively lives the self-care life about which she teaches and advocates. Her personal philosophy of interpersonal interaction is, “If I’ve not positively influenced someone everywhere I’ve gone, I’ve not walked in my purpose.”
