Weaving feminism & spirituality into a vision of justice for the world
A Day Retreat for Learning, Practicing,
Healing & Replenishing
Under the guidance of experienced meditation teacher Ron Vereen, participants will explore how mindful awareness can facilitate a sense of spaciousness to experience life as it unfolds moment by moment. Various forms of mindfulness practice will be offered to awaken sensitivity to both internal and external experience. The practice of Noble Silence will be explained and then observed throughout most of the day to facilitate entering greater stillness and spaciousness. A deeper connection with all of life may emerge strengthening resolve, bearing witness to the challenges of life, and guiding actions grounded in deeper wisdom and compassion. Mindfulness practice can hasten the healing of ourselves and the world around us. The day of practice is open to all, including those just learning to meditate as well as seasoned practitioners.
