Weaving feminism & spirituality into a vision of justice for the world
We invite you to join us for Writing into the Light: Finding a Path in These Dark Times, led by Carol Henderson. In this prompt-driven workshop we will write about what we are all facing and how best to cope. We will also write about what brings us joy, community, meaning, hope. Holocaust survivor and author Viktor Frankl coined the term “tragic optimism” which “holds space for the full range of human experience and emotion, giving us permission to feel happiness and sadness, hope and fear, loss and possibility – sometimes in the same day, and even in the same hour.” (Brad Stulberg, New York Times).
Come prepared to write a lot and, if inclined, to share your writing. Open to writers of all levels and genres.
Designed as an in-person workshop, there will also be a Zoom option.
Leader: Carol Henderson is a writer, workshop leader, and editor living in Chapel Hill, NC.
Mondays: January 27 – February 24, 2025
5 sessions, 11 am – 12:15 pm.
Cost: $95. Scholarships available. Registration required. For additional information, please contact info@rcwms.org.
