The Resource Center is thrilled to share the news of the launch of our friend Kimberley Pierce Cartwright’s new website. Together with web design wizard Carol Thomson, of FireStream Media, Cartwright worked with Marya McNeish from the RCWMS staff to bring this new site to completion.
And the result really illustrates the breadth of Kimberley’s creativity. In both the artist gallery and the shop you’ll find examples of her fabric art, paintings, and clay work. Check out her blog for her reflections of what has inspired past work and some of her current focus. Want to work with Kimberley? Visit her teaching page for examples of the types of workshops she offers.
Over the years The Resource Center has had the pleasure of working closely with Kimberley. She has taught classes and served as our Artist in Residence. In 2023 she created and directed Kindred Spirits: A Convergence of African American Quilters, which brought more than 60 quilters and nationally-known quilt teachers to Durham. Congratulations Kimberley!
