RCWMS is honored to invite you to a reading with Melanie Morrison from her new book, Becoming Trustworthy White Allies. The reading is sponsored by RCWMS and the Sallie Bingham Center for Women’s History and Culture at Duke University’s Rubenstein Library.

In this collection of essays, lectures, and real-life stories, antiracism facilitator Melanie S. Morrison outlines the actions white people must undertake to become trustworthy partners in the work of racial justice. 

Melanie is an author, speaker, and racial justice educator with thirty years of experience designing and facilitating transformational group processes. She is the author of five books, including Murder on Shades Mountain: The Legal Lynching of Willie Peterson and the Struggle for Justice in Jim Crow Birmingham.
