Author: Heidi Gessner is an ordained United Church of Christ minister, spiritual counselor, and grief coach, who served as the palliative care and bereavement clinical chaplain for UNC Hospitals for nearly 20 years. Heidi is also the author of Pockets of Grace: Lessons from Darkness, Lessons from Light, which is both a memoir about her spiritual awakening during her father’s terminal lung cancer, and a modern-day guide for coping with grief and loss. Heidi is the founder of Indigo Grief Flow: Path to a New Beginning, her signature system that provides support for individuals navigating loss or in transition.
