THIS EVENT IS AT CAPACITY. PLEASE CLICK ON THE 2ND TICKET BELOW TO BE PUT ON A WAITING LIST. ALSO, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR ADDITIONAL FOREST BATHING EVENTS.
Let’s relish the stark beauty of the winter woods with a Forest Bathing Walk at The Trees Retreat Center, a 50-acre wooded property with a beautiful mid-century modern home nestled amidst the rolling hills just outside Durham, NC. Forest Bathing is a slow sensorial experience of being in nature. Unlike a hike or a naturalist exploration, Forest Bathing allows you to spend time moving slowly and observing nature under the trees. Certified Forest Bathing Guide Elizabeth Newman will lead a small group of 5-10 people in simple invitations to experience the woods through your senses, allowing you to slow down, restore yourself and connect with the natural world. No skill required. Dress to be outside for 2+ hours – bring a throw or shawl for extra warmth. Limited to 10. Open to ages 12 and above.
Leader: Elizabeth Newman is a Forest Bathing Guide certified by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. For questions about Forest Bathing or The Trees Retreat Center contact Elizabeth at EQNewman27@gmail.com. Elizabeth is offering additional Forest Bathing walks this winter and spring.
Please contact Elizabeth at EQNewman27@gmail.com if you have mobility limitations.
